I have spent 3 afternoons at school this week. Monday and Tuesday, Matt and I both attended Field Day. Today, I went at lunch to watch Kendall’s presentation at the wax museum on Pocahontas .
After planting ALOT of seeds last week in the garden, we were all EXCITED to discover that we have corn and beans both growing along with some cherry tomatoes and jalapeno peppers!
Zach has a soccer game tomorrow at noon. This is his next to last game. I hope he continues to enjoy soccer. I am almost certain he will want to play again in the fall.
On Sunday, both Lily and Kendall will participate in the final cheerleading competition of the season. The sad news is that the weather is suppose to be wet and the competition is held at a theme park. We have already purchased tickets so I am praying for a couple of hours of sunshine on Sunday.
I was able to cash out for a $25 gift card this week with Swagbucks. I currently am think I will hold on to this and use to book our next Disney trip. This is one of the few ways I can find money!

As the weather was still chilly and windy, we found several way to fill the time. First stop the aquarium.

Then we enjoyed lunch at Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville.

Finally the girls went to Build a Bear, while Zach found the ride shop to build his own car.

This week turned out to be extremely busy! I had planned to post at least twice during the week and as you can tell that did not happen. I even have pictures loaded of our spring flowers. The weather is rather screwy right now. We are expecting a hard freeze this weekend and then hopefully on to Summer.
Zach was “Owl Star” in his class this week. He got to take the owl to a lot of different places. This is a privilege which also included extra homework. Zach wrote 3 journal entries about their adventures and complete 3 questions each day for show and tell. My favorite picture of the week is soccer practice.

3. Lily has been preparing all week for the “Story Telling Festival” at her school. She and her friend presented the book 22 times today. The really cool fact is that I participated in the very first “Story Telling Festival” at the Elementary School.

4. Lily is also “Star Titan” this achievement is awarded each month to one student per class. I am very proud to say that all three of the little kids have now been selected this year.

5. As part of being student of the week, Zach filled out a list of questions. His answer to “what makes you special?”— I have 4 sisters
“Who is your hero”– Jesus.

1. On top of our already busy schedule, Zach started spring soccer this week. That means at least 2 practices and one game a week.

2. Over the past month, the car that Amanda drove has started to fall apart. The car had 282,000 miles but after $500 in repairs it finally died yesterday. Today, we received $150 for the scrap value.

3.In good news, the weather has turned warm quickly. We turned off our heat and based on the forecast for the next week, we should be able to keep it off for a couple of weeks. I will be amazed if we are able to not turn it back on but every penny counts and our electric bill jumped almost $100 for the month of February.

4. We have made absolutely no progress in the kitchen this week. I am hopefully to get some painting done tomorrow night but that is even doubtful.

5. The one area of our budget that I have managed to keep great control of is our groceries. I am continuing to cut the grocery budget this month by using a “credit” from American Express. I was able to purchase all the items on my list for less than $50 using this credit.

We are traveling for cheerleading this weekend, so we decided to throw in some fun! We started with lunch at one of my absolute favorite resturants, PF Changs . Excuse the blurry picture cleaned the lens after see it.
